Induction Service of Pastor David Campbell

Saturday 28 January was marked by the formal induction of our new pastor .David Campbell.

It was a great opportunity to reflect on the life of the church since it’s formation nearly 30 years ago.  the blessings we have enjoyed in that time, and the ministries of our 2 previous pastors.

We gave thanks, too,  for the  goodness of God in bringing David and the church together, in the meeting of hearts and minds and in David’s warm response to the call from the church to join us.

The occasion was also an opportunity to welcome old friends , some who have had links with the church since it’s earliest days , and many who have supported us by preaching and in other ways during our time without a pastor. We  greatly value these links and the warm fellowship we have enjoyed with individuals and churches not only during this period, but throughout our life as a church. 

 And so we now look forward to a new chapter as David and his wife Mairi make their home among us, and we pray that his ministry will be blessed by increasing growth on the part of the church” to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ “ (Ephesians 4v13) as well as the salvation of many presently “having no hope and without God in the world “ (Ephesians2v 12 )

Finally, many thanks to all those who worked so hard in the preparation and serving of so many afternoon teas to so many people  !
